Blurple Pearls

BLURPLE PEARLS!!!!! These are so awesome, I just love them. I must say blue and purple mixes of any kind have become a favorite of mine. My mom gave me these as a just because present. She had bought herself and my sister and I a pair for Christmas but didn't like them so she just put them away and forgot about them. We got them a couple months later and decided they were fabulous.

These are color treated natural freshwater pearls. I am not sure on the size but I am guessing about a 6 millimeter. They came with this great pouch to store them in so they don't get dirty. These pop out so brightly against the skin it is amazing.

Zoya Matte Savita with Seche Vita Top Coat

I just hate to wreck a good matte nail polish but for Seche Vita it is so worth it. :) This is threee coats of Zoya Savita, one cute little Fleur De Lis nail decal, and one coat of Seche Vita fast dry top coat.

Seche Vita top coats make any nail polish shine to the best of its potential. I know it looks like my nails are chipped here but they aren't that is just the shine from the top coat. I decided to play with some nail decals that were given to me as a gift. I don't often use them but I thought this was kind of cute.

Zoya Matte Savita

I have just adored the Zoya nail polishes I have and this one is no exception. I love a good matte nail polish but so many end up chalky and I really hate that. Savita by Zoya from their Matte Velvet Winter Collection is a rich almost slate stone like deep purple and it almost shines on its own, definitely not chalky.

This is three coats of Savita though I think two would have done the trick. Like most matte polishes this one is a bit thick and dries fast, but not the worst I have ever dealt with, probably the best in fact. The color is almost a blackened purple but kind of reminds me of a dark blurple in the right light. It would go great with a pearl necklace I have.

J Francis Earrings

I got these amazingly beautiful earrings from my hubby for Christmas last year and have worn them several times. I think they are the prettiest thing I have seen in a long time, that is as far as earrings are concerned, lol. Thanks again babe! I get lots of compliments on them each and every time I wear them so I must not be the only one who thinks they are fantastic. The designers name is J Francis and they are in what is called the Colors of Nature Collection.

These earrings are set in 925 sterling silver with a 950 platinum overlay. (Platinum, I know right, I really love my hubby!!!) There are 4 small chrome or Russian diopsides in each earring, 1 on top, 2 in the middle and 1 on bottom. They are kind of hard to see in the pic but they stand out in life. The top flower is done in rhodalite garnet and the bottom flower and drop brio bead are amethyst. Aren't these great for both spring and summer? I wear them whenever because I just love them so much, but I think they are best suited to months when the flowers grow.

Milani: 531 Gold Swatch

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!!! I adore this polish. It is Milani 531 Gold. I know some of you are saying that this is a great polish for the winter holidays and you are absolutely right but I like to wear bold and large gold pieces in the summer and this goes with that theme for me. :) Think LBD!!

For this swatch I used three coats of this amazing glitter nail polish from Milani. This is a clear base lacquer with larger sized hexagonal gold glitter particles. I used a top coat on this though I can not remember now which one I used. I think it was Blown Glass by Cover Girl in their Boundless colors collection.

Quick Tips: Get a Bracelet On A Bit Easier

Once you have chosen your bracelet and realize it is one of those with a clasp, don't worry, you won't be made late this time. Tape one end of the bracelet to your wrist. This will keep it from sipping all over the place or falling. If you tape far enough down your arm you may be able to employ the use of both hands to get that darn clasp to go together.

Wet 'n' Wild Heavy Metal

Every now and again I like a good black nail Polish and this one seems to be a great go to for me when I do want one. Wet 'n' Wild Heavy Metal is a dark black with silver shimmer in it. It has kind of a thin formula at first but gets really thick if you don't hurry. Here it is pictured with Seche Vita Topcoat.

Vintage Shoe Clips

I just had to have these amazing things when I found them, oh the possibilities. I picked these Vintage Shoe Clips up at a local church sale for around $1.00. I don't really intend on wearing them with my shoes, but to secure a scarf, on a belt or jacket etc.... LOL!! I included two shots of these great accessories for you to feast your eyes on.

Sally Hansen Insta Dri Blue-Away with Crackle

I only own a few Sally Hansen Insta Dri polishes due to the size of the brush and generally the formula is a bit thick for my liking. This was no exception but I worked with it and the process went fairly smooth. Blue-Away is a light blue creme polish and I used three coats to get it opaque and smooth, the dry time is not so instant on this polish though.

For this shot I applied Sally Hansen Crackle Nail Polish in Fractured Foil. The effect was not what I wanted, it barely shows up in the sun. :(

Here is a second shot of the polish that you can see a little better but not much.

I decided to finish the manicure off with China Glaze Holographic top coat and this helped to show off the silver surprisingly well. I added two shots of this so you could get a good look at it.

Zoya Diedra With Gold Crackle

Zoya is a recent love of mine. I found them some time ago on the internet and was hesitant to spend so much to try out a good sampling. It took awhile but I found a local outlet that had them and bought a few on sale. I have ordered several now. :)

I used three coats of this Zoya Diedra for this manicure to make sure it was a nice solid color on my nails. I love the lavender with gold shimmer in it. This polish dries quickly, I love it.

I applied one thick coat of Sally Hansen Crackle Nail Polish in Antiqued Gold to match the already gold shimmer in the polish and I must say I like the romantic look of it.

I applied one coat of China Glaze Holographic top coat to finish the manicure. I like the way it brings out the sparkle of the duo together but i think I might have been just as happy with Seche Vita. LOL!! I gave you a couple shots of this to look at none the less.

80's Blue and Pink Bright Nail Polish

I have a ton of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear nail polish that is waiting to be swatched as I fell in love with them awhile back and found an amazing sale. This Xtreme Wear is called Blue Me Away and as you can see it is a very bright blue creme polish. I used three coats to get this smooth as it wanted to be a bit thick and hard to handle. FYI: I wore this polish for less then 24 hours and it stained my nails baby blue :( )

For this shot I applied one coat of Sally Hansen Crackle Nail Polish in Fuschia Shock. This turned out so totally 80's, which is not me but hey, others might like it.

And a second shot of the duo.

For this manicure I finished up with one coat of China Glaze Matte Magic, which I love dearly and it didn't diappiont me this time either. All in all a great mani, even though I don't like the 80's style much.

Ring My Shell by Sally Hansen with Extra's

After getting my new crackle polishes I just had to play with all of my nail polish, but with over three hundred bottles it was hard to decide where to begin. What better place then my back log of awesomeness that has been calling my name for a while now. Ring my Shell by Sally Hansen Complete Manicure was the base coat for this completed manicure. I used two coats of this shimmery pale pink polish.

Another shot of this rather pale or nude shade of pink, at least on me. Darker skin tones might have better luck, but it is still pretty.

This next shot is of Ring My Shell with one coat of Sally Hansen Crackle nail polish in Vintage Violet. I actually like where this is going. The formula on this crackle was a bit thinner then the others I have tried but still dries super fast.

I decided to finish the manicure off with China Glaze Matte Magic as a top coat. Although I like the effect I think the above swatch without it was better. Maybe next time I will use my fav Seche Vita top coat instead.

Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat Collection

Well finally here they are!!! I have been dying to get my hands on a crackle or a shatter nail polish since I first saw one. Problem was I looked around locally and never found any and then by the time I would look online they were sold out everywhere. UHG!! My husband and I were out shopping one day and the new display for Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat had just gone up. When we saw them he just decided I needed to have the whole set. HUGS to my Hubby, LOL!!

They are named as in the picture from left to right: 01 Snow Blast, 02 Vintage violet, 03 Fractured Foil, 04 Fuchsia Shock, 05 Distressed Denim, 06 Antiqued Gold, 07 Cherry Smash, and 08 Ink Splatter. I have already been trying them out with other polishes, oh what fun it has been. Swatches and reviews coming soon!!
